Condell Update
Condell Medical Center update from BlueCross BlueShield on October 5th 2007. On October 2, 2007, a judge denied our request to prevent Condell Medical Center from prematurely terminating its contract before December 31, 2007. As a result, there are no contracts in place with Condell, effective October 2, 2007. At this time, Condell is a non-plan hospital. In addition, some physicians may be leaving the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois PPO network as a result of Condell no longer being a contracted provider.

Meeker-Magner Team Helps Build Playground
The Effie Ellis Center, at 43rd and South Cottage Grove in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood, will take care of 200 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years starting September 2006. This new facility belongs to Centers for New Horizons, a nonprofit organization helping children, young parents and seniors.
